SciFi and Fantasy Art: Undine (Kotegaeshi)

Every now and then, usually after I haven't painted in a while, I get this neurotic anxiety that I'm losing my talent...'S a common enough affliction among artists, I suppose, accompanied by a feeling that every sketch I do is wretched. Anyway, the paintings that snap me out of the funk are always a great relief, and this was one of those. An undine is a water spirit, and perhaps appropriately, I learned more about painting water in two days than in the three years I've been painting prior to this.(Kotegaeshi, by the way, is a particular hand-and-wrist position in aikido, which she's demonstrating. Why? I have no idea...)
